Laser HDTV

With technology growing like it is, it is not uncommon to hear of more different television sets coming out on the horizon. The new hype when it comes to television is the Laser HDTV which is a fairly new idea and invention when it comes to television. They are totally different from the plasmas and LCD televisions that we are used to watching now.
However, there are some drawbacks that come along with the new invention. Those drawbacks are the costs, the safety and the speckle. When it comes to cost you can bet your bottom dollar that they are going to be expensive compared to what we are used to paying for a television. Just think when you purchase a plasma or LCD TV, you pay anywhere from one thousand to ten thousand dollars, so if the inventors are worried about the costs of the Laser HDTV, how much do you think it is going to cost? I can only begin to imagine that is why I cannot wait until they hit the shelf, but like with any product if it doesn't sell at the price that it comes out with, they will have to lower it and just take the loss. The health issues are that you can damage your visions for watching the screen due to the brightness; however they should fix that problem before it hits the market at the end of this year. The speckle issue is the fact that due to all the qualities of the picture they are worried that the picture may be to rich and in stead of producing a great picture it may have little speckles in it. However, that is enough on the drawbacks; let's get to the good stuff. One good quality that the Laser HDTV has is the brightness and color of the picture that it broadcasts. Instead of actually only seeing forty to forty five percent of the available color you will be able to see ninety percent. That may just be the reason that they are worried about our eyes, we have never had a television that offered that type of picture. More advantages are that it is going to be half the weight and cost of the plasma or LCD displays that we have now, it is going to be very thin, and it is going to have around fifty thousand hours of life.
